    Heavenly Hawaiian Fruits

We're on vacation on Oahu right now, visiting my oldest son who is stationed at Pearl Harbor.

I've been to the Hawaiian Islands before, and every time I am here I am overcome with the desire to make jelly or jam. I even make sure to rent condos every time, so I'll have a kitchen to cook in.

The quality of Hawaii's mouthwatering fresh tropical fruits is always impressive and the low prices at the roadside stands astound me.
I can't resist the many charm of Hawaii's abundant fruits.

    Shortcut to Quick Pickles, vacation-style

I guess everyone who reads my blog realizes how much the people in my family enjoy pickles. Good thing I like to make 'em.

    Maui Coffee Jelly

For the first time since I started my blog, I'm taking a couple weeks off from posting. I'm on vacation with my family and since our accommodations have intermittent internet access, it might be another week or so before I post again.

I just wanted to share a photo I took yesterday at an impressive gift shop/coffee roaster called Kona Mountain Coffee. Lots of unique high-quality local products on the shelves here, including Maui Coffee Jelly.
